Empowered Participatory Governance towards Progress or EPG-Progress

Participatory governance at the heart of Philippine democracy

COTABATO, Philippines - The biggest Good Governance Summit event starts tomorrow!

Leaders from government, civil society, the European Union in the Philippines and international nongovernment organizations will speak at the 2016 Good Governance Summit in Kidapawan City, Oct. 11-12.

More than 200 representatives, from five municipalities in North Cotabato and 134 civil society organizations, will gather to share experiences and provide real examples of how transparency, accountability, and empowered participatory governance paved the way towards better local governance.

We'll also launch publication of a book telling the story of local governments and CSOs initiatives in Antipas, Arakan, Magpet, Matalam and President Roxas, Cotabato, Philippines that illustrate the thrusts of EPG-Progress implemented by Action Against Hunger Philippines, in partnership with MinLand Foundation and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The European Union - funded Empowered Participatory Governance or EPG-Progress project is honored to have worked with inspiring Filipino leaders.
