EPIC project MoU signed with Agency of IDPs, Eco-migrants and Livelihood Provision, Georgia
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Action Against Hunger and the Agency of IDPs, Eco-migrants and Livelihood Provision of Georgia on 30 June 2020 within the project “Economic and social participation of vulnerable displaced persons and local population in the South Caucasus – EPIC”.
The main goal of the MoU is to formalize the relationship between Action Against Hunger and the Agency in their joint efforts to strengthen micro, small and medium enterprises run by IDPs and eco-migrants in Georgia. The EPIC project is designed to support the increased participation and economic and social inclusion of IDPs and vulnerable host community members by increasing their access to employment, entrepreneurial, educational and training opportunities. The project is being implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with Action Against Hunger, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
