Artashat Adaptation and Integration Club participants learn more about the Beekeeping Business
Corporate volunteer visits are an integral part of the support provided by the Adaptation and Integration Clubs to assist refugees from Nagorno Karabakh develop their employability and business skills. Based on the needs of participants, a series of interactive lectures are organized by professionals from different business fields to impart their skills and experiences and to help participant in their job search or to start up a business.

Action Against Hunger, together with its partners, Mission Armenia and Partnership and Teaching is running 5 “Adaptation and Integration Clubs” in Armenia for refugees from Nagorno Karabakh. This support is provided under the project 'Providing multi-sector assistance to support the immediate and longer-term needs of refugees from Nagorno Karabakh’ funded by the European Union. These clubs are designed to support the integration of refugees and build their employability and entrepreneurial skills using Action Against Hunger’s ‘Shuttle’ methodology. A key element of this methodology is the involvement of corporate volunteers who pass on their knowledge and experience to the club participants so that they may utilize it in the development of their own careers.

Action Against Hunger Hosts “Shuttle Coach” Training Workshop for Ukrainian coaches
From the 1st - 3rd April, Action Against Hunger South Caucasus hosted a 3 day workshop on the transfer of its Employment & Entrepreneurship “Shuttle” methodology in its Zugdidi office for Ukrainian coaches who will run Shuttles in Tbilisi and Batumi specifically to support Ukrainian women. This workshop was faciltated by the team led by Action Against Hunger South Caucasus Social Inclusion Manager, Lela Maisuradze, Programme Manager, Tamuna Naskidashvili together with former Shuttle Coach, Ivetta Rodonaia.

Refugees from Nagorno Karabakh supported by EU to build employability and entrepreneurial skills
In early and mid-March, Action Against Hunger South Caucasus, together with its partners, Mission Armenia and Partnership and Teaching established and launched five “Adaptation and Integration Clubs” (A&I Clubs) under the project “Providing multi-sector assistance to support the immediate and longer-term needs of refugees from Nagorno Karabakh” funded by the European Union These clubs are operating in Mission Armenia centres in Nor Nork and Shengavit in Yerevan and Hrazdan, Kotayk province and Artashat, Ararat province, and in Partnership & Teaching’s centre in Goris, Syunik.

SHUTTLE Coaches ready to support Women’s Social and Economic Engagement
On the 15th of March, Action Against Hunger completed the 5-day workshop in Tbilisi on the transfer of its social and economic inclusion “Shuttle” methodology to local partner NGOs under the EU-funded project “Empowering civil society to increase gender equality and counter gender-based violence in Georgia.” The project consortium is led by the Center for Information and Counseling on Reproductive Health - Tanadgoma and includes three other national NGOs, the Women’s initiative Support Group, The Union of Azerbaijani Women of Georgia and the Georgian Network of Women With Disabilities.
