French Ambassador meets with mothers & babies from Nagorno Karabakh

Young Leaders trained for Community Action

From the 12th - 17th of June, eight Young Leaders from Zugdidi and Akhmeta municipalities came together in the seaside town of Batumi for several days of workshops and training under the project “Improving local governance through inclusive development approaches”, implemented by Action Against Hunger and funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).

Kids get animated about hygiene!

Since late 2020, Action Against Hunger (AAH) has been working with schools and IDP communities on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and Covid-19 response measures for the protection of children and their families, within the framework of the project “Economic and Social Participation of Vulnerable Displaced and Local Population in the South Caucasus” (EPIC) programme as implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with Action Against Hunger, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Zugdidi LAG learns the ropes of community-led development

From the 31st May to 5th June 2021, more than 60 members of the Zugdidi Local Action Group (LAG) took part in a two-day training on the LEADER/CLLD (Community-Led Local Development) approach under the project “Improving local governance through inclusive development approaches”, implemented by Action Against Hunger and funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).

Bright start for Zugdidi Local Action Group
