Take action at your school

Children and teachers can join forces to fight hunger and malnutrition by taking part in the Race Against Hunger. An event in which children and teenagers learn while directly helping other children.

Every May, hundreds of schools in Spain and in other countries like France and Peru organise The Race Against Hunger with us. This is a sporting event that is also a teaching tool and a direct way of raising funds for the projects that fight the causes of hunger and malnutrition.

Before the race, children and teenagers, from primary to sixth form, attend awareness-raising talks adapted to their age group, in which Action Against Hunger volunteers explain what hunger is, its causes and how, by taking part in the race, they can help.

The children can run or walk during the race and they raise funds aimed at projects for preventing child malnutrition.

The races are easy to set up because Action Against Hunger provides all the necessary material and tools, which means there’s no cost for the school. Furthermore, schools can choose the language of the material they receive, whether in Spanish, French, English, Catalan or Basque.
