First ever transnational Georgia/Armenia LEADER project held in Anaklia
From the 5th to the 8th September 2023 the first ever Georgian-Armenian trans-national LEADER project – Women's Camp “KIN-KALI” – was held by Local Action Groups (LAGs) from Georgia and Armenia at the beautiful seaside town of Anaklia, in Western Georgia.

Supporting Energy Efficiency in the Tusheti highlands
Meet Ia Bashinuridze, a dedicated woman entrepreneur and recent recipient of a grant from Akhmeta Local Action Group (LAG). She embarked on her journey to develop Hotel Tusheti in 2007, which is nestled in the historic and breathtaking region of Tusheti National Park, where three picturesque valleys converge.

Nona Qajaia - Tailor-made Success
Nona Qajaia, is an IDP from Abkhazia. Currently, she lives in Ingiri and has small sewing salon in a house where she lives with her family. Action Against Hunger South Caucasus hosts its Bi-annual Programmatic Workshop
From the 31st July to the 3rd August, the Action Against Hunger South Caucasus team hosted its bi-annual programmatic workshop in the Coordination office in Tbilisi. The workshop was held after several weeks of preparatory work to establish the Technical Programming Framework, Modalities and Priorities for the mission over the next 2 years. The workshop was facilitated by Teresa Caterino and Ana Maria Muedra Sánchez from the Action Against Hunger headquarters in Spain. Representatives from the offices throughout the South Caucasus journeyed to Tbilisi to participate and provide their input.

Georgian LAGs learn from Austrian LEADER experience.
Over the summer, to support the further development of the Local Action Groups (LAGs) of Akhmeta and Zugdidi municipalities, Action Against Hunger organized a four-day study tour to Austria. This study tour was made possible through the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) under the project “Improving local governance through inclusive development approaches”
