Leave no one behind: NGOs call on the international community to address increasing needs in Lebanon

Acción contra el Hambre and acciona.org join forces to promote renewable energies in emergency contexts

Action Against Hunger and the acciona.org Foundation have launched an innovative initiative aimed at improving the sustainability of humanitarian operations through a more efficient assessment of the energy needs that arise during these operations, and the incorporation of renewable solutions that make it possible to offer affordable, reliable, modern, and sustainable energy. The project, which is financially supported by the European Union, will run for two years between Spain and the Philippines.

Georgian LAGs Build Relationships for Transnational Cooperation at the 2023 LINC Conference in Italy

From the 9th to 11th May, 2023, representatives of Zugdidi and Akhmeta Local Action Groups (LAGs) and 2 Action Against Hunger project team members attended the international LEADER Inspired Network Community (LINC) Conference 2023 held in the Basilicata region of the Province of Matera, Italy. The attendance of these LAGs was made possible through the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) under the project “Improving local governance through inclusive development approaches”

Community kitchens to fight food insecurity in Peru

16.6 million people are food insecure in Peru, i.e. more than half of the population cannot access a healthy diet, according to the FAO's SOFI 2022 report. Furthermore, in Metropolitan Lima, most families, around 80%, suffer from food insecurity (moderate and severe), according to the latest report by Action Against Hunger.

Action Against Hunger distributes more than 26300 hot meals to earthquake affected families in Syria during Ramadan

Action Against Hunger has been working hand in hand during most of April with Syrian NGOs to provide iftar hot meals during the month of Ramadan to those families affected by the deadly earthquakes that shocked Syria and Turkey last February.
